In 2021 we created $651.2 million in capital investment, $49.1 million in new annual payroll, and 1,194 jobs, which is only a portion of what is available, and we increased our average hourly wage to $21.73.
While our biggest source of employment in the county is the service industry, manufacturing is our specialty with growing and endless opportunities for job seekers. Taking advantage of these opportunities, we have set out on a mission to assist any high school student who would like to directly enter this workforce post-graduation.
We are aware that being part of a strong workforce comes with its barriers. Sometimes these barriers require additional assistance outside of finding the work. This assistance can come in the form of finding a ride, training, childcare, disability management, etc., but these barriers do not have to be defined in your success. This assistance exists for not only the student but any Anderson County resident needing help. Should you require additional assistance, we will do everything we can to help or point you in the right direction to someone who can be of assistance.
