The County Director of Economic Development is the designated director and president of the DCAC. The remaining directors are appointed by County Council. By working together, the investors in the DCAC create an economic effect that will bring positive impact to the businesses and residents of Anderson County.

Initiatives:
• Produce pamphlets, brochures, and other publications about doing business in Anderson County.
• Support and encourage development of industrial parks and speculative buildings.
• Host meetings and events with current and prospective county business leaders.
• Engage in workforce development and training activities, such as possible student apprenticeship programs to expose high school students to the job opportunities present in Anderson County with the aim of convincing the future workers to pursue careers in Anderson County.
• Address potential workforce challenges, such as transporting workers from rural areas and developed areas.
• Any other activities deemed appropriate from time to time to encourage businesses to locate and remain in Anderson County.
