The S.C. Cybersecurity Assistance Program (SC-CAP) provides financial assistance for contractors in the defense realm so as to comply with DFARS 7012 and NIST 800-171 standards for cybersecurity.

The maximum amount of funding available for a company is $25,000, including $3,000 for participation. This amount will provide assistance to small and medium-sized companies within the existing defense supply chain to help comply with CMMC requirements.  The program, which provides grants and resources for companies to comply with the cybersecurity standard, is funded by the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC) through the SC Department of Employment and Workforce and is being coordinated by SC Commerce and SC Manufacturing Extension Partnership (SCMEP).

The number of companies expected to be awarded: 31 companies will be selected to participate in the program which includes completing an assessment and developing a Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMS) toward CMMC Level 3.

The maximum funding available to each company is $25,000, including $3,000 for participation, which will provide assistance to small- and medium-sized companies within the existing defense supply chain to help them become aware of and get on a path toward compliance with CMMC requirements.
